To develop appreciation for wonderful living trees, to understand general wood terms and world sourcing, to learn manufacturing steps of the veneer industry, to explore veneer species, slice, lay up figures and applications, and to discuss overview information on wood sustainability.

“Exploring Wood Veneer” is a sharing of knowledge in an interactive format, with topics ranging from basic wood terms to more in depth details of veneer manufacturing, species, slice techniques, figures, lay up and patterns, along with generic architectural and furniture application for each. The benefits of specifying veneer expectations and for suppliers regarding sourcing, yield, supply, application, and sustainability will all be discussed in the session.
