There are no universal answers but there are universal questions and challenges that provide a good starting point for exploring what might work best for a company with offices located around the world. Companies considering global presence must consider key drivers and influencers for global workplaces. Success is achieved when the facility supports the needs of the global worker, accommodates the continuous connection of offices worldwide, and seeks new ways to connect people and places. Issues relating to local culture, government, logistics, and economy of various global regions may have an impact on the design and effectiveness of global workplaces. This presentation addresses regional office differences and similarities in a number of global regions and suggests approaches for designing to meet business needs and objectives.
