The session will also present simple yet proper methods of creating baseboards, wainscoting, chair rails, door and window casings. The elements, proportional systems, and composition of interior spaces and their details will be presented using slides; measured drawings of buildings and interiors; and handouts taken from rare books that craftspeople have used for centuries to aid them in designing timeless interiors. During the afternoon session, the class as a group will design and draw a classical interior applying the information presented in the morning session. Using class discussion and computer generated drawings projected on a large screen; the class will create a floor plan and elevations of their own design.
